Color Specialists

Nsombi Hale: Nsombi attended the Graham Webb Academy in DC for cosmetology school. She trained at Vidal Sassoon in Washington, DC as a Color Specialist, but also took advanced color training at Sassoon’s Advanced Academy in London and Scott Cole Academy in Scottsdale, Arizona. During her 5 years as a Senior Color Specialist at Sassoon’s, Nsombi was involved in training color apprentices and teaching at the Sassoon Academy in LA. She joined Klinger Advanced Aesthetics in Chevy Chase in 2005 as a Senior Color Specialist. Nsombi enjoys traveling, concerts, and interior design. She seeks inspiration at art museums and galleries, but also loves a good basketball game. She has been working as a Senior Color Specialist at Saks Fifth Avenue since December 2007.

Jenny Schneider: Jenny has been coloring hair for 14 years. After working in the film industry in LA, Jenny realized her true passion was beauty. She attended cosmetology school at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in LA and went onto work with Sassoon for 10 years. During that time, she taught classic and advanced color courses at the Sassoon Academy in LA before relocating to DC to open Sassoon’s newest salon. As Color Director and Assistant Manager for Sassoon, she was responsible for training color apprentices and worked on-stage at numerous beauty shows including IBS, ISSE, the Alternative Hair Show and Premiere demonstrating Sassoon’s latest collections. Jenny joined Klinger Advanced Aesthetics in Chevy Chase as National Color Director and Assistant Manager in 2005. She enjoys giving clients an individual look that is modern and provocative, yet still sophisticated. An avid traveler, her influences are the street looks she discovers in other countries as well as the music industry. Jenny was honored to be listed as one of DC’s top ten color specialists in Washingtonian’s “Great Hair” issue and has been interviewed as a color expert for articles in The Washington Post. Jenny has been the Manager and Color Director at Saks Fifth Avenue since December 2007.

Phuong Anh Tran: Phuong trained at the Graham Webb Academy in DC as a cosmetology student. She worked at Bubbles Salons in DC before deciding to further her training. She joined Vidal Sassoon in DC as a color apprentice and continued to work for Sassoon in DC for 9 years. During that time, Phuong Anh had the opportunity to train color apprentices in DC and at Sassoon’s Academies in London and LA. As the Head of Color in DC, she took part in creative workshops and worked at hair shows in Puerto Rico, Seattle, Australia, and London. She joined Klinger Advanced Aesthetics in Chevy Chase as a Senior Color Specialist in 2006. Phuong Anh enjoys creating beautiful classic and creative work, and also enjoys the challenge of corrective color. She has been working as a Senior Color Specialist at Saks Fifth Avenue since December 2007.
